An audacious robber smashed the front window of a Pwllheli jewellers and stole bracelets in broad daylight.

A N Reeves jewellers, situated on Penlan Street, was targeted by the lone thief last Friday afternoon.

The front window of the store was smashed and a number of bracelets were stolen in the incident, before eye witnesses reported seeing the individual fleeing from the scene on foot.

Police cordoned off the store on Friday and crime scene investigators were brought in to carry out initial investigations and find the person responsible for the burglary.

These investigations were accompanied by searches throughout the town and house-to-house enquiries.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “Police were called at 1.54pm on Friday, 5 June, after a man in a hoodie smashed the window of a jewellers shop, stole a tray of bracelets and ran down Penlan Street.

“There were no weapons used and no-one was hurt. Enquiries are ongoing.”

This is the second time A N Reeves has been the target of theft this year, after it was broken into during the middle of the night in January, leaving the shop without several items of jewellery and watches.

No-one from the store wished to speak to the Cambrian News when contacted this week.
