A fire at Gwynedd’s Abergwynant Forestry is thought to have been started deliberately.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS), who tackled hotspots in an 30 metres x 20 metres affected area, thanked Eryri National Park and Natural Resources Wales for their assistance at the scene.
“The fires at this location are thought to have been started deliberately, and North Wales Police will be investigating further,” an NWFRS spokesperson said.
“We’d appeal to residents to please be vigilant, and if you see any suspicious behaviour in relation to deliberate fire setting, please inform North Wales Police either by their live webchat online or by calling 101.
“If you spot a new active fire, please call 999.
“Thanks to everyone for their continued support and understanding.”
