EMERGENCY services staff are teaming up in a massive fundraiser for the chemotherapy unit at Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth.
Local firefighters, police officers, hospital workers and business owners have come together because of the brilliant care received by family and friends at the chemo unit.
They are organising an evening full of entertainment, “raising money for a brilliant cause”.
The Emergency Services against Cancer ball and auction will be held on Saturday, 10 November, at 7pm at The View, Brynrodyn, Borth.
The over-16s-only event will feature an auction, raffle, buffet and a variety of entertainment including the Smoking Guns and Bois y Mynydd.
Firefighter Karen Bradley, one of the organisers, said: “Friends and families within the services are currently going through treatment; we decided that this would be an exciting way to give back.
“So many people in the future will benefit from money raised to continue the amazing care provided by the chemotherapy staff at Bronglais.
“Events like these are rare in Aberystwyth so why not take the opportunity to get all dressed up, have a brilliant evening and raise money for a very deserving cause.”
