AN EARLY-MORNING five-car car crash in storm weather just outside Aberystwyth caused severe delays.
A concertina of cars were in collision on the A487 approaching Blaenplwyf on Monday, 8 February at around 6am. The morning saw driving rain and high winds battering the county as Storm Imogen moved in.
The road was blocked by the crash, and police officers on the scene had to redirect slow moving traffic for over an hour.
Two occupants of an Audi were taken by ambulance to Bronglais Hospital suffering from suspected whiplash injuries, while the driver of a Ford Focus was also taken to hospital with neck injuries.
No other injuries from the collisions were reported.
