Gwynedd police are appealing for information following a sheep worrying incident.

During the evening of Sunday, 30 August, a pure bred Dutch spotted ewe sustained injuries to its side and hind quarters following an attack in fields at Dinas Dinlle.

PCSO Rhys Evans said: “The skin and wool were ripped from the body which would require a great deal force and is likely to have been a large dog.

“As a result of the incident, the other ewes have since been removed from the fields.

“We are once again urging dog owners to keep dogs on leads whilst walking in fields where livestock are present as not to cause distress or harm to the animals.

“Anyone who was walking their dog through the fields at the time and has any information is asked to get in touch.
