A MAN who got into difficulty whilst kayaking off the coast of Tywyn has died.

The man, in his 30s and from the West Midlands, died whilst being transported to hospital, North Wales Police have said this morning.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We received a call at 12.41pm yesterday (Sunday) from colleagues at HM Coastguard reporting a kayaker that had got into difficulties in the sea off Tywyn.

“Officers attended along with RNLI and WAST. Sadly, a man in his 30s from the West Midlands died whilst being transported to hospital.

“His family have been informed. A report is being prepared for the Coroner’s Office.”
