ABERYSTWYTH lifeboat crew have this afternoon rescued a vessel that was in danger of running aground after suffering engine failure.

Aberystwyth Atlantic 85 lifeboat was on a training exercise when the crew were called to the aid of the stricken vessel, which had lost engine power and was in danger of going aground on the notorious Harbour Trap reef.

The vessel was towed successfully back into Aberystwyth Marina
