A MAN accused of stealing thousands of pounds worth of equipment and money from two popular Blaenau Ffestiniog tourist attractions is to stand trial.
Simon Lee McAllister, 43, of 10 Maes Geraint, Pentraeth on Anglesey, is accused of several thefts across the Gwynedd area, including the theft of £4,000 worth of camera equipment from Zipworld in Blaenau Ffestiniog and stealing over £4,000 in cash from the Llechwedd Slate Caverns on 10 March last year.
He is also accused of assaulting a shop assistant and stealing sportswear from a shop in Bangor on 23 October, the theft of a Land Rover Discovery worth £40,000 from Zipworld Titan in Bethesda on 8 September 2015, and stealing a Ford Fiesta worth £7,500 from OH Griffiths and Co garage at Y Ffôr, along with a tool box and car stereos from vehicles on 9 September 2016.
Magistrates sitting in Caernarfon declined jurisdiction and passed the case on to crown court where a trial will take place on 27 March.
McAllister was given conditional bail.
