A MAN has been airlifted to hospital following a collision on the A485 between Tregaron and Llangybi this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 8.10am following reports of a crash between Tregaron and Llangybi, where a red Audi coupe car has left the road crashing with a tree.
The 44-year-old male driver sustained serious head injuries and was airlifted to Heath Hospital Cardiff where he remains in a serious condition.
The car was travelling from Tregaron towards Llangybi at the time it left the road.
The family of the injured man have been notified and an investigation into the cause has commenced. The road remains closed at this time.
Police are appealing to any person who was travelling on this road at the time to contact Dyfed-Powys Police Roads Policing Unit by calling 101, and quoting incident number DP-20160210-035.
