A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of the rape of a girl under 16 in the Ceredigion area.

Officers at Dyfed-Powys Police have this afternoon (Tuesday) confirmed that a 28-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail following an alleged incident over the weekend.A spokesperson for the force said: "A 28-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of the rape of a girl under 16 in the Ceredigion area on Saturday, 20 February. "The male has since been released on police bail. Enquiries are ongoing."
