A MAN has appeared in court to deny arr­anging to have sex with an underage girl.

Dale Anthony Rowlands, of Parciau, Mynytho, was before Caernarfon Crown Court, on Tuesday, charged with arranging or facilitating the commission of a sexual offence with a child below the age of 16.

The 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offence, which is alleged to have been committed last year.

Rowlands did, however, admit to six counts of making indecent photographs of the same girl and two counts of being in possession of images­ and videos.

Seven indecent videos were found in his possession and eight photographs.

The 25-year-old will face a two-day trial on the arranging or facilitating charge at Caernarfon on Monday, 15 August.

He was bailed until that date on the condition that he does not contact his alleged victim or approach her home.

Rowlands was ordered to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to the images charges.

He will be sentenced for those matters at the conclusion of his trial.
