A 30-YEAR-OLD has appeared in court to deny that he raped another man.

David Christian Newman, of Willow Way, Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham, is accused of assaulting the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, at Llanbedrog in 2014.

Newman attended Caernarfon Crown Court in black trousers and a grey coat on Monday to enter a not guilty plea to the rape charge and will be tried on Monday, 11 April.

He was bailed until that date on the condition that he has no contact with the complainant in the case.
