A MOTORIST has died while driving a vehicle in Meirionnydd.

A man in his 50s from the Dyffryn Ardudwy area died in his vehicle on Ffordd Benar, the road leading to Benar Beach, yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called shortly after 5pm and rushed to the scene but sadly, the man involved was pronounced dead the scene.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “An examination of the scene has determined no collision had taken place and the man’s death is being treated as a ‘medical episode’.

“Police are not treating the matter as suspicious and next of kin and HM Coroner have been informed.”
