Police are appealing for information following a crash on Sunday between a motorbike and a horsebox in north Ceredigion that left a man with serious injuries.

The crash between a Suzuki GSXR motorcycle and a blue Fiat Ducato horsebox occurred on the A487 just north of Llanrhystud near the Cofiwch Dryweryn memorial at around 2.35pm on Sunday, 5 September.

The collision left the road closed for much of the rest of the day while medical attention, investigations and recovery took place.

A 30-year-old man was airlifted to hospital from the scene with serious injuries.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was driving on the A487 in the vicinity of the Cofiwch Dryweryn bends at around the time of the collision.
