BARMOUTH RNLI has received a massive donation from a local caravan park.

The volunteer crew of Barmouth Lifeboat joined in the celebrations at the Late Night Christmas Shopping event in Barmouth on Thursday evening, 7 December.

As the crew toured the streets with their D Class Craig Steadman, they were approached by Yvonne and Darren Bowater of Dyffryn Seaside Estate who presented them with a cheque for £2,500 – the proceeds from a firework display held at their end of season party.

Coxswain Peter Davies said: “We are delighted once again to receive such a very generous donation from Dyffryn Seaside Estate. Barmouth RNLI is very grateful to all the support it receives from local organisations, it is their continuing generosity that keeps our boats afloat and enables our crews to continue saving lives at sea.”
