A HEARTBREAKING tribute has been paid to young mum Emma Baum who was murdered in Penygroes on Monday morning.
Emma’s mother Amanda has described her daughter as her rock saying that she was “the best mother” to her little boy Steffan, who was her world.
Now Steffan has lost the most important person in his life and Amanda does not know what she is going to do without her.
“Emma was my best friend and a beloved daughter, mother, partner and sister who had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody,” the bereaved mother said.
“She was always the life and soul in any situation.
“I am so lost without her and she will be forever in our thoughts and prayers,” Amanda continued.
“She will always be in our hearts forever and always. Love you Emma. Always and forever.”
The investigation into the murder of Emma Baum is continuing.
Detective Superintendent Iestyn Davies who is leading the investigation has today (Wednesday) made a fresh appeal for information.
“The assistance the investigation team has had from the public has been positive and I have approximately 50 officers assigned to the investigation engaged in a host of roles including forensic examinations, scene preservations, house-to-house enquiries and enquiry officers.
“Additional high visibility patrols are in place in Penygroes to help reassure the community.”
A man and woman arrested yesterday evening, Tuesday 19 July, are continuing to assist the police with their inquiries.
Det Supt Davies added: “I am particularly interested in the movements of a black coloured three door Ford Fiesta car which I believe travelled between the villages of Trefor and Penygroes between 2am and 2.30am on Monday morning and returned to the Trefor area between 4am and 4.30am.
“I believe this car would have been driven through Penygroes between these times.
“Someone may have seen it either being driven or parked in the village.
“I would appeal to anyone who has seen a car similar to the one described to make contact with us.”
He added: “We are in regular contact with Emma’s family at this traumatic and distressing time for them, and I know they take comfort from the support being provided to them.”
