POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the A458 near Mallwyd at around 2.20pm today (Sunday) following a single vehicle collision involving a dark-blue coloured Honda GLR motorcycle with a 68 plate.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said this evening: “The 36 year old male rider from the Oswestry area was taken by the Welsh Air Ambulance to the Royal Stoke Hospital with serious injuries.”
Sergeant Raymond Williams from the Roads Policing Unit added: “Whilst wishing the rider all the very best in his recovery, I appeal to anyone who was travelling on the A458 at that time who may have witnessed the collision, or may have dashcam footage of the motorcycle prior to the collision, to please contact us.
