A MOTORCYCLIST has been airlifted to hospital this afternoon following a collision on a scenic Gwynedd B-road.

The B4405 near Abergynolwyn, Tywyn is currently closed following a collision between a car and a motorbike earlier this afternoon.

The biker has subsequently been airlifted to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.

Police have asked motorists to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
