A pedestrian has been injured following a three-car collision on the A487 between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth.

Emergency services were called to Furnace at around 6.50pm on Tuesday, 21 January.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The collision involved three vehicles, two of which were parked, and a pedestrian.

“The male pedestrian was taken to hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“One male was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving. He currently remains in police custody.

“The road was closed with diversions in place and reopened at 1.30am this morning.
