Police have named a woman who was found dead in a lakeside property near Bala in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Shortly before 5.30am on Tuesday morning, officers were called to an address in Llangower where the body of a young woman was found inside a property.
North Wales Police named the woman on Wednesday evening as being Hollie Sheridan-Connis, who was 24 years old and came from the Birkenhead area.
A spokesperson for the police said: "A Home Office Post Mortem examination was carried out earlier today (Wednesday), however, police now await the result of toxicology reports.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"The 31-year-old man, who is also from the Merseyside area and who was assisting with police enquiries, has been released under investigation."
Senior Investigating Officer T/Superintendent Neil Harrison of North Wales Police said: “Our thoughts remain with Hollie’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“Forensic examinations of the scene have been undertaken and we now await the result of toxicology tests.”
North Wales Police are not in a position to release any further details at this time.
