POLICE have this evening named a woman killed in a collision on the A487 earlier today.

The road was closed for several hours following a collision between a green Mini Countryman and a white Toyota at around 7.15am this morning on the A487 near Tanygroes in Ceredigion.

In a statement this evening, officers said: “Dyfed-Powys Police can confirm that Nicola Jennings, aged 50, of Cardigan, tragically died as a result of the collision on the A487 near Tanygroes, Ceredigion, at around 7.15am this morning.”

“The road has been closed since the collision for investigations to take place.

“Officers are asking anyone who saw what happened, were in the area around this time, or have dashcam footage of, or prior to, the collision, to get in touch.”
