POLICE searching for an 88-year-old man who went missing from his home almost two weeks ago think he could be in Beddgelert.

North Wales Police have released CCTV images of the man who has been missing from the Betws Yn Rhos area since Wednesday, 8 September.

James was last seen on foot heading out of Beddgelert.

"We are appealing for information from anyone who was in the Beddgelert area on the afternoon of Wednesday 8/9 at around 2.30pm," a police spokesperson said.

"We are also appealing to anyone travelling along the A498 from Beddgelert towards Aberglaslyn between 2.30pm-5.30pm, who may have dashcam footage."

Police released the man’s first name, James, who they said was wearing a maroon jumper and carrying a white carrier bag when last seen.

"Did you see him along the road at this time or know of anyone who might have given him a lift?," the spokesperson added.
