A FOUR-FIGURE donation will help an RNLI branch stay afloat ahead of their busy summer season.

Last weekend, Criccieth RNLI received a cheque for £1,000 from members of the Madoc Yacht Club.

The money was raised through various activities, including a sponsored walk.

A spokesperson for the RNLI said: “Thanks to all the members for their generosity and continued support.”

A representative of the yacht club added: “We are delighted to support our local RNLI.

“Their advice and also help during our own training is invaluable besides being there for us should we ever need them.”
