Visitors to Pwllheli have had their first glimpse of the RNLI’s new boathouse.
Contractors Wynne Construction have been working through all weather over the last couple of months to build the frame and the roof beams and this has now been completed.
The next stage will be to lay the floor slabs and reinforced edge beam to allow work on the walls to commence.
As the work progresses scaffolding will be erected which will allow work to commence on the timber roof deck.
Clive Moore, architect of the new boathouse, said: “Standing in the main boat hall looking seaward presents an impressive and excellent view of the launch site and operational area.
“The structure gives a good indication of the overall form of the building with elements such as the height of the boat hall and boarding platform clearly evident.”
