The emergency services are warning people to stay safe this Bonfire Night.

North Wales Police is urging people to attend organised events if possible, to reduce the risk of accidents and ease pressure on the emergency services.

A spokesperson said: “As many organised Bonfire Night events have been cancelled this year, we know some people may be tempted to have their own celebrations in their own gardens, however this may mean a busy night for emergency services such as North Wales Police, North Wales Fire & Rescue Service and the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.”

North Wales Fire & Rescue Service is also urging people “to attend organised displays in your area if you are able to do so”.

“This is the safest way to enjoy fireworks,” a spokesperson said.

“If you do decide to celebrate in your own garden then please stay safe and read the advice on the North Wales Fire & Rescue Service website.”
