Two teenagers on a paddleboard were reported missing on Monday.

Abersoch RNLI was called at 5.21pm on 24 August, when the teenagers were 90 minutes overdue.

The lifeboat launched at 5.33pm and headed towards Gull Island off Aberdaron. The teenagers were last seen heading towards there.

The crew stood down en route when Aberdaron Coastguard located the teenagers safe and well on the beach.

Abersoch Lifeboat Operations Manager, Martin Turtle, said: “You should always tell someone where you are going and when you expect to back and ensure that you have a means of calling for help with you that can easily be reached should you get into difficulty.

“Thankfully the two teenagers were quickly located on the beach.”
