FOUR men and two teenagers accused of being involved in badger-baiting will stand trial next year.

All six have pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include taking part in an animal fight, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and causing animals to fight.

The alleged offences occurred at Cwm Bowydd farm, Blaenau Ffestiniog, in February and District Judge Gwyn Jones, sitting at Llandudno magistrates’ court, was told that the evidence would include a video.

The defendants are Jordan Alexander Houlston, 23, of Alexandra Road, Llandudno; Marc Wyn Morris, 26, of Jones Street, Blaenau Ffestiniog; David William Lloyd Thomas, 51, and Evan Bleddyn Lloyd Thomas, both of Cwm Bowydd farm, a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old. The trial will open in Llandudno on 8 January and expected to last six days.
