A SPATE of thefts from vehicles in Meirionnydd has concerned the police.

North Wales Police have issued a statement warning people in Blaenau Ffestiniog to protect their vehicles and to be on the look out for suspicious behaviour.

Many of the crimes occurred in the run up to the festive season.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Please be aware in the last few months several thefts from vehicles have occurred in the Blaenau Ffestiniog area.

“It is worth reminding all car owners to be vigilant at all times and ensure vehicles are left secure and all property removed.”
