A service station in Trawsfynydd has been targeted by thieves for the second time in four months.

Police are appealing for information after cigarettes were stolen from Prysor Service Station in the early hours of Tuesday, 4 February. The garage shutters were forced, and cigarettes stolen from behind the counter.

Police believe one person entered the garage while another two waited outside.

The offenders are then believed to have run off on foot, possibly to a waiting vehicle parked nearby along the A470.

This is the second time since October that the station has been targeted.

On 7 October, the owner Judith Troughton arrived at work to find that there had been an attempted break-in.

Judith said: “I feel sick when I think about it. We are trying to improve the place and then this happens. It makes you wonder why you bother sometimes. We believe a residential property at the rear of the garage would be an advantage because we could live on site.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting ref: 20000074270 or via live webchat.
