CRIMINALS have ransacked three Llyn businesses in one night.
Last week the Cambrian News reported that Zinc Bar and Grill in the centre of Abersoch was broken into and a “substantial” amount of cash stolen from the restaurant’s safe in the early hours of Monday, 28 May.
However, police are now investigating a further two burglaries which occurred in the area that same night. And “suspicious persons”were also witnessed on the High Street in Abersoch.
North Wales Police are treating the crime spree as “linked” and are on the hunt for a black Mercedes Benz.
Aqua Beach Bar in Llanbedrog was broken into that evening and cash was stolen from the premises. Likewise, someone forced entry into Footprints, the beach cafe in Abersoch, and stole foodstuffs and tools.
In addition to the burglaries, some “suspicious” people seen in the area were challenged, according to the police.
Local businessman Alan Harper-Smith, who runs holiday homes as well as the ‘All about Llanbedrog’ Facebook page, was dismayed by the series of unfortunate events.
“It was a sad day for Llanbedrog and Abersoch when some people decided to make some easy money from hard-working people trying to make a living in this beautiful part of the world,” he told the Cambrian News.
