Abersoch RNLI has rescued three adults who got into trouble whilst sailing in a dinghy.
The crew received a call from the coastguard on Wednesday just after 1pm, following reports of people in difficulty in the small sailing dinghy known as a Topaz Topper.
The Atlantic 85 lifeboat launched at 1.16pm and headed out towards St Tudwal’s Islands.
The vessel, with three adults on board, got into difficulty following a change in weather conditions and was struggling to return to the beach.
The lifeboat arrived on scene at 1.21pm and the three casualties were taken aboard.
A tow was established to return the dinghy to the main beach.
Two of the three casualties were equipped with lifejackets and also carried a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch.
Andy Vowell, lifeboat operations manager, said: “Weather conditions can change quickly and anyone heading out on the water should ensure they are adequately prepared.”
The lifeboat returned to the station at 2.05pm where it was thoroughly cleaned down, refuelled and left ready for service.
