POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious crash in Criccieth in October.

Shortly before 9.30am on Saturday, 24 October, officers were called to a one vehicle crash involving a Black Mitsubishi L200 Warrior 4x4 vehicle on the A497 in Criccieth.

The 27-year-old male driver was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance with what was believed to be serious injuries. He was later transferred to hospital in Stoke where he currently remains in a serious but stable condition.

The road was closed and re-opened shortly before 1pm.

Officers are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision to come forward.

Investigating officer, PC Trystan Bevan of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the black 4x4 vehicle on the A497 between Chwilog and Criccieth prior to 9:25am to contact us."
