Emergency services have confirmed that a woman has been found ‘safe and well’ following a large-scale search in Aberystwyth on Sunday evening.

Members of Aberystwyth Coastguard and Dyfed-Powys Police were seen searching along Constitution Hill as a helicopter circled over the town at around 9pm yesterday.

This afternoon, a spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “On Sunday evening, 25 October, concern was raised for the whereabouts and welfare of a woman in the Aberystwyth area.

“A search was conducted involving a number of agencies. The woman was located and she is safe and well.”
