A BLAENAU Ffestiniog-based choir had to overcome technical glitches and stage malfunctions to perform for Team GB’s Olympic and Paralympic heroes in Manchester on Monday night.

Cor y Brythoniaid was invited at short-notice to perform at the celebration in Manchester to mark the record achievements of Team GB’s athletes in Rio.

Technical issues almost put a stop to their performance but, luckily, the choir managed to borrow a keyboard from rock band The Kaiser Chiefs, who performed after the choir.

Then, as they were about to begin their set, a sudden gust of wind caused the collapse of the “Heroes Parade” curtain that hung behind them on stage.
