PRESIDENT Eleanor Evans welcomed all members present to the first meeting of the new year then went through all business, correspondence and matters arising. The guest speaker was Stacey Roberts from the Flawless Beauty Salon, recently opened in Aberaeron. She gave a lively talk detailing her lengthy training and the treatments and products offered, such as a luxury pedicure and a lava shell massage. An enthusiastic question-and-answer session followed, with a vote of thanks from Jacqui Thomas. Stacey was asked to judge the competition of powder compacts and the winner was Iris Jones, with Anne Evans the runner-up. Marion Bowen won this month’s raffle.Refreshments were offered afterwards by tea hostesses Milwen Lewis, Margaret Morgan and Megan Richards. The next meeting is on Wednesday, 3 February at 7pm in the British Legion Hall.

Football Club

ON SATURDAY, 23 January, the First team are home to Tywyn Bryncrug with kick-off at 2pm. The match sponsor is Martin Holland of Cadwgan Inn.
