WI
THE president Eleanor Evans, welcomed all members and guests to the February meeting. The minutes of the January meeting were read and agreed, followed by all correspondence and business matters arising. Eleanor then introduced two representatives from the West Wales Care and Repair team, who gave a comprehensive presentation on the work that they do in the community to support local people on safety aspects and building maintenance of their homes. The talk was very informative and several members showed interest in subjects discussed, such as carbon monoxide alarms. Judy Southgate gave the vote of thanks. The February competition was a shoe horn and was won by Judy Southgate, with Jacqui Thomas the runner-up. #Liz Owen won this month’s raffle and tea was served by hostesses Karen Wright, Sylvia Williams and Rosemary Williams.
Football club
ON SATURDAY, 27 February the First Team are home to Welshpool with kick-off at 2.15pm. Recent results include a 6-0 win against Montgomery for the Firsts.
