THE YEAR 10 business studies group are celebrating after winning a business challenge.The pupils won the Coca Cola Real Business Challenge Welsh Final in Cardiff held on 10 February.Pupils were asked to create a litter campaign for Keep Wales Tidy and they called their team Aeron Tidy. The pupils involved were Molly Grainger, Callum Baugh, Elina Evans-Rees, Dafydd Davies, Deian Jones, Ryan Kelanchandra, Keiran Rainbow and Torin Lloyd-Hughes.See photo.

Football club

ON SATURDAY, 5 March, the first team are home to Builth Wells in the Central Wales Cup with kick-off at 2pm. The match sponsors are Andy Bligh and Adrian Lloyd.Recent results include a 6-1 loss against Knighton for the Firsts.

Aeron Valley Railway Society

AT THE recent meeting at the Feathers Hotel members enjoyed an interesting presentation by our social secretary Steve Parr. Two films were shown, the first about the growth and moves of the North Downs Preservation Railway Society, followed by the experiences of holidaying on the Isle of Wight in 1963.The next meeting is on Wednesday, 16 March, at 7.30pm at the same venue with a talk on Kent and East Sussex Railway. A date for the diary – an outing to Brecon Mountain Railway in May.
