Toy and train collectors
BACK by popular demand, the annual feast for toy & train collectors is taking place at Aberystwyth between 10.30am and 3pm on Saturday, 25 June. The event will be held at the Leisure Centre at Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth.
The move to Saturday from Sunday, means that there are far more public transport options available to patrons attending as well as being a great day for most of the traders. Some top traders from all over Wales and England will be attending and a wide range of items, old and new will be on offer. Famous names such as Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, Tri-ang, Wrenn, Hornby will be available and stall-holders will also be keen to buy-in stock and to take exchanges, as well as selling.Customers should raid their attics and bring along surplus items from yesteryear.Organiser, Chris Dyer, said: “We are so pleased to be back at Aberystwyth for our annual show and it’s one of the nicest places to run such a event. “We have great co-operation from the Centre and like to feel that we attract some additional business into the town in general as many of our visitors will travel quite long distances and are bound to explore the local area as well as coming to our show”.One major change this year is that the net proceeds from this event are being donated to various cancer charities and Chris added, “We hope that the charity aspect will encourage even more support from the general public”.
