A PARAGLIDING pooch has soared to new heights.

Henry, a ‘true Welsh mountain dog’, enjoyed a bird’s eye view of his favourite beach on Boxing Day as he swept along the Dyfi Estuary harnessed to his owner’s father and a large fabric ‘wing’.

He spent the day with his owner Amy Jones, her father Rob Jones – who work for a roofing company in Tywyn – and photographer Joe McCarthy high on the hills above Aberdyfi before paragliding down to the sea front, enjoying panoramic views across the stunning landscape.

It was not Henry’s first flying experience.

“Henry is Amy’s dog and goes every where with us,” said Joe.

“Henry paraglides with Rob and loves it.

“He sits comfortably surveying the beautiful scenery.

“Henry is a true Welsh mountain dog. His enthusiasm is infectious and makes every adventure that much more special.

“One of Henry’s favourite sites is Aberdyfi because he gets to land on the beach!”
