Madam,

As the chair of Aberystwyth Carnival committee, I am writing to express how proud I was of this year’s town carnival. I was amazed at the hard work and creativity of those who took part in the parade and the talent of those that gave us the live entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening.

This year’s event, as in previous years, was supported by Ceredigion County Council and Aberystwyth Town Council, for which I am very grateful.

In order to run what is now an annual event down on the Aberystwyth promenade, giving us opportunity to showcase our town’s talents to both the community and visitors alike, we rely on the generosity of local businesses and organisations.

Again this year we were fortunate to have a great deal of support and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them, however big or small the contribution.

Finally I would like to thank the small committee of volunteers and those that spent so many hours lending their expertise and skills to make the event such a success.

Planning has already commenced for next year’s event, which will be on Saturday 29 July, with a theme of ‘Peace, Love & Harmony’. Details of the event, and how to get involved or volunteer can be found on the Aberystwyth Carnival Facebook page.
