THE WOMAN in charge of keeping Ceredigion’s public toilets spick and span will take centre stage this week in an episode of a new series on BBC Two Wales.
In the television programme Cardigan Bay Coastal Lives, to be broadcast at 7.30pm on Tuesday 3 November, viewers will be shown a day in the life of acclaimed cleaning services manager Jasmine Wilson, as she and her team continue on their mission to achieve the best hygiene standards possible in the county’s public conveniences.
This new BBC series follows the rich and varied lives of the locals who call the sweeping west coast of Wales home. The series will continue on Thursday 5 November, Tuesday 10 November and Thursday 12 November.
Of her experience of taking part in this series, Jasmine said: “I am pleased to have been involved with this series and to showcase mine and the team’s commitment to our profession. I hope the viewers will have the opportunity to see what we achieve in our daily work, and to appreciate that it adds to their experience & comfort of living in or visiting our beautiful county and coastline.”
During her career at the council, Jasmine has received numerous prestigious awards and honours for her commitment to her field; she was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012, and is also the chairman of the British Toilet Association (BTA).
Cardigan Bay Coastal Lives is on BBC Two Wales, Tuesday 3 November, at 7.30pm.
