A BAKING company boss from Ceredigion is one of the contestants in the hit TV show The Apprentice.

Former Aberaeron Comprehensive School pupil Alana Spencer, 24, describes herself as determined and creative.

She started her first business, a chocolate company, at the age of 17, before selling cakes.

Looking forward to any tasks Lord Sugar sets, Alana, who is from Llanrhystud but now lives in Aberystwyth, said: “I am incredibly hard working, driven, and I’ll stop at nothing to get what I want.”

The new series of The Apprentice starts on 6 October.
