A COLLECTION held on 4 August resulted in a total of £1,200.28 being raised for the RNLI. Barmouth raised £542.48, Shell Island £545.70 and Fairbourne £112.10. William Burton, the promoter, thanked everyone for the commend-able effort that produced this result.

Supporting Amelia

THE summer sale held in Barmouth Community Centre last Thursday was a great success despite the wet weather. The sum of £450 was raised to help fund Amelia who will be travelling to Ghana on 3 September to begin two years as a volunteer nursery teacher. Amelia thanks those who have sup-ported her and especially the ladies who helped on the day.
