An astro turf pitch in Barmouth has reopened to the public.

Barmouth Town Council has announced that the pitch, by Ysgol y Traeth, would reopen outside school hours.

The council spokesperson said: “Great news for our community!

The Astro Turf pitch next to Ysgol y Traeth is reopening to the public outside school hours.

“We are happy to share that access has been improved for wheelchair users and prams.

“Please use the small wooden gate on the promenade to enter.”

They added: “This is a long-awaited Town Council amenity for everyone to use. Please help us keep it clean, tidy, and respected, so that the whole community can continue to enjoy this space to play!”
