A gallery in Dyffryn Ardudwy is currently hosting its summer exhibition, showcasing a range of artists and artworks inspired by the sweeping landscapes and natural beauty of Snowdonia.

Ty Meirion was established in 2018 in the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy, near Harlech, and hosts new exhibitions featuring established and emerging artists, particularly those from the local area, every few weeks.

In this year’s summer exhibition, The Flora and Fauna of Snowdonia, the gallery is looking close to home for inspiration as artists display their evocative visual interpretations of Snowdonia and the nature and wildlife that inhabit it.

Curated with an environmental focus, the exhibition and the work included celebrates the beauty and diversity of Snowdonia – from its mountains to its coastline.

The artwork on display takes on a variety of forms – from striking prints of twisting paths and untamed forests to sculptures of the local wildlife crafted out of bronze – and makes use of an array of mediums, including paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery and woodturning.

The Flora and Fauna of Snowdonia exhibition is free to attend and open until 15 September, between 10am and 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and between 11.30am and 4.30pm on Sundays or by appointment.
