I refer to the article ‘Football club apartments plan hits opposition’ (Cambrian News, 19 May). After reading this article I am again bewildered by the comments made by Cllr Mair Benjamin.

I would like to make the observations that this area of the town really wants redeveloping, it looks an eyesore from the police station to the old Arriva bus depot.

Going onto the councillor’s comments, the town is crying out for small flats to accommodate either for single people and for people wanting to move from larger accommodation so that they can be released for families that need them. This development would enhance that area and most certainly Maesyrafon.
