Beicwyr Llyn are gearing up for a special ride to raise money for a local teenager.
The Pwllheli club has held a ride to raise money for good causes for the past eight years and so far have raised over £46,000.
This year, the bikers have decided to help local 13-year-old Lewis Walker, who has cerebral palsey and is aiming to buy a tricycle so he can enjoy his independence.
Chairperson of Beicwyr Llyn Bikers, Eifion Roberts, said: “We wanted to raise money this year for a local good cause.
“Lewis could do with an adult size tricycle to get around about on his own and it would give him a sense of independence.
“So we are trying this year to help him do this.
“If we are fortunate enough to be able to do this and if there is any money over, we would like to put this towards getting him a beach/ sea tricycle so he could join the other members of his family on the beach and even on the water.
“Although we haven’t set a target, we are very close to raising over £50,000 over the past nine years, so it would be great to break that mark.”
The bikers will set off from Y Maes in Pwllheli on Sunday, 7 April.
The ride is open to anyone on a motorcycle and will take a scenic route through Penygroes, Llanberis, Capel Curig to Betws y Coed and then back to Pwllheli via Blaenau Ffestiniog, covering a distance of over 100 miles.
The ride is being sponsored by Gwion Prys Motorcycles and the theme for the ride is green.
The bikers will also be holding an auction to raise money and any donations are welcome.
