THE organiser of a popular music and dance night has said he has been left “flabbergasted” by the outpouring of support after £2,000 of ticket money was stolen.

Kirk Holland, who runs Black House events in Aberystwyth, is still offering a £200 reward for any information which leads to the recovery of the money, which was stolen from a New Year’s Eve event at Borth Community Hall and included all of the ticket sales of the night.

Speaking to the Cambrian News this week, Mr Holland expressed his disbelief at the level of support he has received, with people turning up at his door with cash and food donations and a crowd-funding page having raised £445 in under two weeks since the money was stolen.

Mr Holland said: “I really appreciate the support, it has been amazing — some people have donated £100.

“I’m flabbergasted. People have been great and that’s why I wouldn’t want this to spell the end of Black House.

“People have turned up at my door and given me £10 notes; I have never experienced anything like it.

“That has restored my faith in humanity to be honest."
