Cymdeithas Hanes
AR NOS Fercher, 16 Mawrth, cynhaliwyd cyfarfod diwethaf Cymdeithas Hanes. Ein gwr gwadd oedd Hefin Jones Roberts a’i destun “Hanes, Profiad a Hiwmor drwy lygad dyn ambiwlans”. Clywsom ei fod wedi ei eni yn Nhanygrisiau ac wedi myny-chu yr ysgol yno, symud ymlaen i‘r Ysgol Ganol. Gweld ambiwlans yn cyrraedd ty yn Nhanygrisiau tra yr oedd o yn chwarae pêl droed fel plentyn efo’i gyfeillion mwyaf thebyg a’i ysbrydolodd i gael diddordeb yng ngwaith gwasanaeth ambiwlans. Hefyd tra yn ifanc cymerodd ran efo’i gyfoedion mewn gwersi cymorth cyntaf yng Nghlwb y Moelwyn.Wedi gadael yr ysgol bu’n gweithio yn un o siopau Blaenau, y Maypole, cyn ymuno â’r fyddin i wneud ei Wasanaeth Cenedlaethol yn yr Army Medical Corps. Lluniodd hyn i raddau helaeth y gweddill o’i yrfa achos yr oedd wrth ei fodd yn ei waith yn yr Almaen a Gwlad Belg. Wedi gadael y fyddin ymunodd a’r Gwasanaeth Coedwigoedd ac ar ôl wyth mlynedd daeth i’r gwasanaeth ambiwlans yn y Blaenau. Roedd hyn yn golygu teithio milltiroedd lawer yr wythnos i lefydd fel Lerpwl a Manceinion er enghraifft.Yn y dyddiau hynny daeth o dan ddylanwad Rhagfyryn Pierce o’r Ysbyty Goffa a mawr oedd ei barch iddo, gan iddo ddysgu gwaith dyn ambiwlans iddo. Daeth yn baramedig a phan ddaeth ei yrfa yma i ben ymunodd â chwmni preifat fel tiwtor i ddysgu nyrsys a bobl ambiwlans eu crefft a’u paratoi am arholiadau.Drwy gydol y ddarlith soniodd am ei gydweithwyr ac am y triciau yr oeddynt yn chwarae ar ei gilydd. Y peth diddorol am hyn wrth gwrs, oedd ein bod yn adnabod y gweithwyr hyn fel Fred, Cyril Bach, Elwyn Don a Ceri er enghraifft ac yn medru uniaethu efo’r sefyllfa fel ei ddisgrifiwyd gan Hefin. Fawr rhyfedd fod môr o chwerthin iach o’r gynulleidfa wrth ddilyn hanes yr hogiau yma.Yr oedd yn ddarlith naturiol, diddorol a hwyliog, yn enwedig gan ein bod yn adnabod y cymeriadau a soniwyd amdanynt. Talwyd y diolchiadau swyddogol gan Dafydd Lloyd Williams, gan adrodd mor ddawnus oedd Hefin wrth iddo gofio amdano yn achub bywyd dyn oedd wedi anafu mewn damwain ac yr oedd Dafydd yno efo’r Frigâd Dân.Cynhelir y cyfarfod nesaf ar nos Fercher, 20 Ebrill pryd y disgwyliwn David Gwyn i sôn am y “ Dref Llechi”.
