THREE intrepid explorers from Blaenau Ffestiniog are setting off on a life-changing, cross-continental challenge to raise money for Macmillan.
The trio will traverse 10,000 miles across mountains, desert and grasslands of Europe and Asia as they leave the UK and head all the way to Mongolia as part of the Mongol Rally - often referred to as “the greatest motoring adventure on the planet”.
If that was not challenging enough, the three teammates will complete the enormous challenge in a tiny Nissan Micra which cost less than £500.
Iwan Cynfal Williams, Steven Price and Connaire Cann, all from Blaenau Ffestiniog, will take on the arduous trek and expect the challenge to last approximately six weeks.
The adventurous three have already raised thousands of pounds for the cancer charity and will continue to fund-raise throughout their challenge.
Iwan, Steven and Connaire will set off from the Lakeside Cafe this Saturday morning and everyone from the town has been “warmly welcomed” to see the trio off.
